Effects the use of herbicides in soils cultivated of with citrus (Citrus sinensisL. Osbeck) on the vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi population
Abstract in English
This research was carried with the aim to verify the effect of the use of residual herbicides as well as the post-emergence ones over the spores number and colonization rate of V.A. mycorrhizal fungi in a Red Yellow Latosol cultivated with Citrus (Citrus sinesis L. Osbeck). The experimental design used was randomized blocks being 12 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment utilized and the respective doses of a.i./ha were: bromacil (3.2 kg), terbacil (3.2), simazine (4.0) ametryn (2.25) + secbumetone (2.25), dichlobenil (5.0), diuron (3.2) and bromacil (2.13) + diuron (1.07) applied in pre-emergence and paraquat (0.6), glyphosate (1.61) and MSMA (1.77) applied in post-emergence and the controls treatments, without herbicide. The soil sampling was done before the application of the post-emergence herbicide and 2 and 31 days after their application. In relation to the pre-emergence ones the soil sampling was done 37, 65 and 94 days after their application. The spores were collected from the soil samples by wet sieving. The citrus roots were separated, stained and observed for colonization rate evaluation. For the condition of this experiment there was no significative differences among the control and the herbicides treatments for spores number by soil unit and colonization rate.
