Objetivo: Investigar as evidências apresentadas a partir das adaptações induzidas pelo treinamento resistido em relação a força muscular, mobilidade e a fragilidade em idosos. Método: Refere-se a uma revisão sistemática de artigos publicados entre 2011 e 2022 nas bases de dados Medline, Scopus, PubMed Central, SportDiscus, Embase, BVS-Bireme e Web of Science. Para uma análise aprofundada da temática não foi selecionado idioma ou período de publicação. Foi utilizado o banco de dados de evidências de fisioterapia (escala PEDro) para avaliar a qualidade metodológica dos artigos selecionados. Resultados: Encontrou-se na busca de dados 1.324 artigos, na qual somente 4 artigos foram selecionados. Os estudos apontaram que exercícios resistidos de 12 - 16 semanas, com intensidade moderada e frequência de duas a três vezes na semana. Conclusão: Pode-se concluir que treinamento resistido apenas proporciona adaptações na força dos membros superiores e inferiores em idosos pré frágeis e frágeis, e também contribui para melhora da mobilidade, diminuindo assim o risco de quedas e hospitalizações. Além disso, proporcionou a inversão do status de fragilidade em ambos os estudos.

Objective: To investigate the evidence presented from the adaptations induced by resistance training in relation to muscle strength, mobility and frailty in the older adults. Method: This is a systematic review of articles published between 2011 and 2022 in the databases Medline, Scopus, PubMed Central, SportDiscus, Embase, BVS-Bireme and Web of Science. For an in-depth analysis of the topic, no language or publication period was selected. The physical therapy evidence database (PEDro scale) was used to evaluate the methodological quality of the selected articles. Results: In the data search, 1.324 articles were found, in which only 4 articles were selected. The studies pointed out that resistance exercises of 12 - 16 weeks, with moderate intensity and frequency of two to three times a week. Conclusion: It can be concluded that resistance training only provides adaptations in the strength of the upper and lower limbs in pre-frail and frail older adults, and also contributes to improving mobility, thus reducing the risk of falls and hospitalizations. In addition, it provided a reversal of the frailty status in both studies
