Pensar a cidade supõe compreender processos e relações sociais no tempo e no espaço e reconhecer a dimensão determinante do sistema econômico em suas conformações contemporâneas. A presente pesquisa enquadra-se nessa temática, junto às investigações realizadas sobre os processos de crescente mercadorização da vida e seus impactos na produção urbana, tomando como objeto empírico a Gleba Palhano, localizada na zona sudoeste da cidade de Londrina PR. A Palhano começou a se consolidar somente a partir da década de 2000 apresentando uma hegemonia da forma condomínio como modo de vida e pode ser associada às expressões do boom experimentado pelas metrópoles brasileiras com a ascensão das políticas neoliberais de abertura aos investimentos no setor imobiliário. A zona destacou-se por seu crescimento acelerado e o apelo do mercado imobiliário colocou como primordial a localização, objeto de grande valorização fundiária, de forma que atualmente é a região mais valorizada da cidade. Partindo da hipótese de que o espaço urbano da Gleba Palhano, produzido como mercadoria ampliando a segregação socioespacial, tem redefinido o modo de vida urbano e as relações entre os habitantes e dos habitantes com esse espaço, a pesquisa objetiva identificar as consequências urbanas do processo de produção dessa área tanto no ambiente físico construído, quanto no cotidiano de seus moradores. As novas conformações urbanas e formas de uso desenhariam um cotidiano que aponta para a diminuição das relações de vizinhança, privatização da vida coletiva e considerável rotatividade da unidade habitacional. A investigação se deu sob o método de Pesquisa de Campo (Qualitativa), somadas algumas incursões de caráter etnográfico, utilizando como ferramentas o levantamento bibliográfico de natureza conceitual, levantamento documental principalmente junto aos órgãos públicos e grande imprensa, entrevistas semi-estruturadas com moradores e com o secretário da Associação de Condomínios da Gleba (ConGP) e observações no campo. Essa pesquisa vem, então, questionar a atuação seletiva e excludente da produção urbana e especialmente da oferta da habitação no Brasil, e de igual forma em Londrina-PR, dialogando acerca da complexidade do urbano, das estruturas definidoras do espaço, das especificidades da produção da Gleba e das experiências urbanas que entremeiam toda a diversidade de agentes e atores.

Thinking about the city supposes to understand processes and social relations in time and space and to recognize the determining dimension of the economic system in its contemporary conformations. This research is part of this theme, next to the processes of increasing commodification of life and their impact on urban production, taking as empirical object the Gleba Palhano, located in the southwest of Londrina city, State of Paraná. Palhano has began to consolidate only from the decade of 2000 presenting a hegemony of the condominium way of life and can be associated to the expressions of the boom experienced by the Brazilian metropolises with the rise of neoliberal policies of opening to investments in the real estate sector. The zone highlighted for its accelerated growth and the appeal of the real estate market placed as primordial the location, object of great valorization land, so that today is the most valued region of the city. Based on the hypothesis that the urban space of Gleba Palhano, produced as a commodity - expanding socio-spatial segregation, has redefined the urban way of life and the relations between inhabitants and inhabitants with this space, the research aims to identify the urban consequences of the production process in this area both in the physical environment built and in the daily life of its residents. The new urban conformations and forms of use would draw a quotidian that points to the reduction of neighborhood relations, privatization of collective life and considerable turnover of the housing unit. The research was carried out under the qualitative method of Field Research, adding some ethnographic character incursions, using as tools the conceptual bibliographical survey, documentary gathering mainly with the public agencies and major press, semi-structured interviews with residents and with the secretary of the Condominium Association of Gleba (ConGP) and observations in the field. Then, this research questions the selective and exclusionary performance of urban production and especially the housing supply in Brazil, and likewise in Londrina-PR, dialoguing about the complexity of the urban, the defining structures of space, the specificities of Gleba production and the urban experiences that permeate all the diversity of agents and actors.
