Na investigação de sentidos de saúde produzidos através dos museus enquanto cuidado coletivo em prol da dignidade humana e expansão de possibilidades do viver, a pesquisa destaca o papel transdisciplinar dos museus e a progressiva atribuição de responsabilidades sociais no que se refere às transformações que envolvem sua atuação. Abordagens da relação entre Museologia, Saúde Pública e Coletiva são analisadas transversalmente a documentos produzidos no século XX, de ambas áreas, e propõe-se refletir aspectos da promoção de Saúde através da Museologia, focalizando a trajetória do Museu de Saúde Pública Emílio Ribas (MUSPER), sua historicidade em relação ao bairro do Bom Retiro, assim como sua significância na história e memória da Saúde Pública em São Paulo. A pesquisa, de cunho exploratório e aplicado, envolve na sua metodologia o estudo do território do Bom Retiro e de como suas relações e características se implicam na construção de atuações museológicas voltadas à saúde. Trata de refletir e subsidiar metodologias através de diferentes modelos de promoção de saúde nos museus e afirmar a Educação Museal como potencialidade na melhoria do bem estar social e relações humanas em um território. O estado de conhecimento das dinâmicas da Museologia em torno de questões de Saúde, bem como as formas de sua potencialização em perspectivas da Museologia Social são características presentes nesta pesquisa que podem ser utilizadas em outros estudos e práticas, com impactos coletivos em transformações sociais operacionalizadas a partir dos museus.

In the investigation of health meanings produced through museums as collective care in favor of human dignity and expansion of living possibilities, the research highlights the transdisciplinary role of museums and the progressive attribution of social responsibilities with regard to the transformations that involve their performance. Approaches to the relationship between Museology and Public Health are analyzed transversally to documents produced in the 20th century, from both areas, and it is proposed to reflect aspects of Health promotion through Museology, focusing on the trajectory of the Emílio Ribas Museum of Public Health (MUSPER), its historicity in relation to the Bom Retiro neighborhood, as well as its significance in the history and memory of Public Health in São Paulo. The research, of an exploratory and applied nature, involves in its methodology the study of the territory of Bom Retiro and how its relationships and characteristics are involved in the construction of actions focused on health. It tries to reflect and subsidize methodologies through different models of health promotion in museums and affirm Museum Education as a potential for improving social well-being and human relations in a territory. The state of knowledge of the dynamics of Museology around Health issues, as well as the ways in which it can be enhanced in Social Museology perspectives are characteristics present in this research that can be used in other studies and practices, with collective impacts on social transformations operationalized through from museums.
