Keywords in Portuguese
ANTIMICROBIANOS VEGETAIS

Abstract in English
An antimicrobial substance that showed activity against representatives of the bacteria, fungi and yeast groups, was isolated from Centrolobium robustum a Brazilian variety of wood. It was found that carbon; hydrogen and oxygen. Were present in the molecule of this substance, which presents the formula C20H24O3. A hydroxyl group, a methoxyl group, two aromatic nuclei and a cycle-ether were found in its structure
