Abstract in Portuguese
O presente trabalho refere-se ao cálculo e traçado as moegas especiais para transportadores helicoidais. No seu desenvolvimento fez-se uma análise algébrica sobre a geometria de interpenetração de cilindros com cones, determinando-se uma equação geral para as cotas dos troncos resultantes. Sobre os parâmetros físicos, tais como, inclinação ao helicoide, requerimentos de potência , vazão , coeficientes de atrito, e velocidade, foi feita uma revisão bibliográfica com o fim de oferecer subsídios a imposições simplificadoras às equações matemáticas desenvolvidas. Determinadas as equações gerais das cotas da moega a do condutor, foram elaboradas tabelas, por computação eletrônica, de tal sorte que a construção destas moegas especiais dispensem todo e qualquer trabalho de prancheta, podendo, o seu traçado, ser feito diretamente sÔbre a chapa.
Abstract in English
The aim of this research was the calculation and drawing of special hoppers for screw conveyors. The work was carried out using algebrical analysis of geometria interpenetration of cylinders with cones, thus determining a general equation for the co-ordinates of the lines of intersection. A bibliografic review was made of papers dealing with phisical parameters, such as inclination of helicoid, power requirement, delivery rate, coefficiants of friction of grains, and speed, in order to justify simplifications made in the development of the theory. The general equations of the curves appearing in the hoppers and conductors were obtained, and tables were prepared, by eletronic computing, such that the construction of these hoppers can be carried out directly, with no use of graphical methods.
