Abstract in Portuguese
O presente trabalho teve como objetivos principais, a determinação do provável material de origem de dois perfis de solo, de ocorrência no município de Lavras-MG, e sua classificação em nível de subgrupo, de acordo com a 7ª Aproximação do SOIL SURVERY STAFF (32). Para tanto, efetuaram-se as descrições morfológicas, e as análises físicas, químicas e mineralógicas, segundo os métodos comumente utilizados. Os resultados obtidos e interpretados permitiram as seguintes conclusões : (a) os dois perfis de solo são classificados como latossolo roxo distrófico; (b) a classificação de acordo com a 7ª Aproximação é um Acrorthox típico; (c) novas pesquisas em torno da ocorrência de halloysita devem ser feitas, uma vez que foram acusadas pelos difratogramas.
Abstract in English
The present work had the following objectives: the determination of the probable parent material of two profiles of soil, from the municipality of Lavras – MG, and its classification according the of 7th Aproximation of SOIL SURVERY STAFF (32). Morfological description, physical, chemical and mineralogical analysis made according to routine methods. The results obtained and its interpretation gave the following conclusions: (a) the two profiles of soil were classified as distrophic roxo latosol; (b) the classification was according to the 7th Aproximation as Typic Acrorthox; (c) news researches about the existence of the “halloysite” must he done, since its occurrence was observed by diphratograms.
