Title in English
Effect of dolomitic limestone ano NPK on the yield of the cavendish banana ‘Nanicão’
Abstract in English
A 33 factorial experiment with the Cavendish banana cultivar Nanicão (Group AAA, Sub-group Cavendish) was carried out in a hydromorphic type of soil of a banana farm near the sea coast, in the State of São Paulo. In this experiment, that involved some additional plots, the effect of dolomitic limestons and different levels of the major elements, N, P and K were studied. The results from-three crops indicated that, independently from the levels of the three major elements applied the dolomitic limestone increased the weight and number of hands per bunch. Nitrogen had and effect similar to that of the dolomitic limestone in the three harvest; potassium increased the weight of the bunch, only; phosphorus promoted a slight increase in the weight of the bunch. There was some interaction between phosphorus and potassium in their influence on the number of hands per bunch.
