O presente trabalho teve como objetivo o estudo difratométrico da massa do solo e do material cutânico, utilizando-se amostras de perfis de solos Podzólico Vermelho Amarelo-Variação Piracicaba (PVp) e Terra Roxa Estruturada (TE). As amostras da massa do solo e do material cutânico, extraído manualmente, sofreram tratamentos visando a remoção de cátions divalentes trocáveis, matéria orgânica e óxidos de ferro livres. Foram confeccionadas lâminas de amostras orientadas, saturadas com K, Mg e glicoladas, as quais foram submetidas a análise por difratometria de Raio-X. A interpretação dos difratogramas obtidos permitiu as seguintes conclusões: a) para cada um dos solos estudados, a composição mineralógica é idêntica à de suas cutans; b) os difratogramas de Raio-X, tanto para o PVp como para a TE, confirmam que as cutans, observadas através de secções delgadas são iluviais; e) no caso da TE, a iluviação de material argiloso é devida unicamente a transporte físico; e d) a variação de intensidade entre os difratogramas das cutans, no caso do PVp, comparados com os da massa do solo, sugere que sejam feitos estudos de interferência de material amorfo.
Abstract in English
The objective of the present work was the diffratometric study of the bulk soil and cutanic material, with the utilization of samples of Red-Yellow Podzolic – Piracicaba Variation (PVp) and “Terra Roxa Estruturada” (TE) profiles. The bulk soil and cutanic material samples, manually extracted, received a treatment that removed the di valent exchangeable cations, organic matter and free iron oxides. Oriented samples saturated with K, Mg and glycolate was analysed by X-Ray diffratometry. The diffratograms led to the following conclusions: a) for every studied soils, the mineralogical composition is similar to his cutans; b) The X-Ray diffratograms of the PVp and TE showed that the cutans, observed in thin section, are illuvial cutans; c) for the TE, the clayey material was mechanically illuviated; and d) for the PVp, the intensity variation between the cutans diffratograms, when was compared with that of bulk soil, suggest the necessity of studies of amorphous material interference.
