Abstract in English
Using the soil of “cerrado” fields that had never been fertilized, two experiments were planned to check the influence of several micro and macronutrients on the growth of guinea grass. This experiment was installed in a green house, with the vases disposed in randomized blocks with five repetitions. The first experiment was made up of NPK x Micronutrients factorial composed by the following treatments: Control, NPK, Micronutrients and NPK + Micronutrients; the second experiment, the subtraction of micronutrients type, was composed by the following treatments: Complete, Omission of boron, Omission of manganese, Omission of molybdenum, Omission of copper, Omission of zinc, control. At the first and second cuts accomplished respectively fifty days after the planting and thirty-five days after it has spronted again, we tried to study the behavior of the plants according to the different treatments and through the analysis of some “parameters”. This way, we cold determine the production of dry matter, leaf area index the specific area leaf, the contents of nutrients of the shoot and the totality of nutrients drawn out of the soil and gathered in the shook. The analysis of the results showed that in the first cut there was a statistically significant effect (P ≤ 0,01) of NPK on the production of dry matter. Nevertheless the amount of micronutrients that was used had a statistically depressing effect (P ≤ 0,05) on the production when used along with NPK. We also noticed that the presence of manganese and the absence of boron and zinc showed a tendency to harm the of dry matter production of the forager. The change of dry matter production showed a close correspondence with specific leaf area suggesting that the treatments affected the leaf photosynthetic efficiency of the plants. The contents and the totality of nutrients drawn out were typical of normal plants. The presence of micronutrients didn't interfere on the contents of the several elements that were analyzed, but we noticed that the plants showed high levels of manganese probably due to the condition of the soil.
