Title in English
Lithological discontinuity in dark-red latosol profiles: a Guamium series
Abstract in English
The aim of this paper was to verify the presence of lithological discontinuity in one soil of the Guamium series (Dark-Red Latosol). It was studied the variation of the fine sand-gross sand ratio through the soil profile and the Z/R, Z/R + T and Z/R + Z ratios in the heavy fraction of the fine sand portion of the soil. The results showed that the soils of the Guamium series are originated from reworked sediments and the soil profiles studied show lithological discontinuities.
