Abstract in English
The behaviour of ion sulphate adsorption and release in some soils of the State of São Paulo is studied, using surface samples of: ?Latossol Vermelho Escuro fase arenosa (LEa), Latossol Roxo (LR), Terra Roxa Estruturada (TE), Podzolizados Lins e Marília variação Lins e Podzolizados Lins e Marília variação Marília?. The sulphate behavior in soils, were studied through Langmuir?s and Freundlich?s isotherms, using 35S labeled sulphate solutions. Since the data obtained indicated high correlation coefficients (r = 0,98), it was concluded that the adsorption mechanism follows the interactions developed by these equations. On the other hand, the tendencies found in the correlations between Langmuir?s and Freundlich?s constants and some soil characteristics (pH, CTC, clay %, iron oxide and free aluminum and phosphorus) indicated the influence of these properties of the soil samples on the anion adsorption process.
