Abstract in English
The main objective of the present work was to adapt the method of HILLEL et alii (1972) for laboratory conditions of hydraulic conductivity determination. Initially the horizontal infiltration process was studied through the method of BRUCE e KLUTE (1956), and following this the soil water redistribution process was analysed through the method of HILLEL et alii (1972). The hydraulic conductivity of the soil K(?), was determined during each of the above processes in homogeneous columns with the application of the gamma radiation attenuation techinique. The K(?) data present a large variability, what makes it difficult to establish a criteria of comparison of the values obtained through each method of soil hydraulic conductivity determination. Apparently the main sources of errar that effect the variability of K(?) data when determined by BRUCE e KLUTE?s method (1956) are the determination of the tangents (dx/d?) and the establishment soil water characteristic curves. This does not happen with the data obtained through HILLEL et alii (1972), method (19?2) because the calculations are based upon integrations of internai drainage profiles.
