O experimento foi conduzido em campo experimental da Escola Superior de Agricultura “Luiz de Queiroz”, com coordenadas geográficas de 22°42’30” latitude Sul, longitude de 47°38’00” λ e altitude de 576m. O objetivo foi o de estudar o comportamento da alface em dois sistemas de semeadura: direta e transplantada. Isto sob diferentes condições de iluminamento. A alface foi semeada em três tratamentos de diferentes percentagens de luz: com 100%, com 60% e com 45%. Assim, o experimento consistiu de seis (6) parcelas, cada uma com 9 m². Ao longo de todo o ciclo da alface, foram realizadas medições de todos os parâmetros meteorológicos necessários à análise de crescimento da planta. Esta foi efetuada em todos os aspectos possíveis, a partir do instrumental disponível.

The experiment was carried out in the experiment field of the Escola Superior de Agricultura “Luiz de Queiroz”, at 22°42’30” S latitude, 47°38’00” λ longitude and 576m altitude. The objective was to study the behavior of lettuce crops under two different planting systems: direct seeding and transplantation, both under different lighting conditions. Three treatments were used for sowing: with 100% lighting, 60% lighting and 45% lighting. Thus, the experiment consisted in 6 plots, 9 m² each. Throughout the whole cycle, of the lettuce, measurements were taken of all the necessary meteorological parameters for a plant growth analysis. This analysis was made of every aspect made possible by the available instruments.
