Alternatives of analysis of experiments in lattice square and application to the vegetable improvement
Resumen en inglés
The objective of the present thesis was to obtain the variance and covariance compounds estimators in square lattice experiments, and in joint analysis, as well as the fenotypical, genotypical and ambiental correlations between X and Y characters, and also the applications and valuation of the alternative kinds of statistical analysis, namely: a) square lattice analysis with non adjusted treatments and residue intrabloc (first analysis); b) analysis of square lattice experiments, as casualized blocks, using non adjusted treatment and, as residue, the experimental error of casualized blocks (second analysis); c) analysis of square lattice experiments, as casualized blocks, using the adjusted mean of treatments of the analyses with recovery of interblock information and, as residue, the effective error of the square lattice (third analysis). The 𝜎̂zi estimatives of the variance compounds of individual analysis and the (See Thesis) estimatives of the joint analysis compounds of the first and second analysis are equals, independent, of the square lattice efficiency. But the 𝜎̂ze estimatives of the variance compounds in the individual and in the joint analysis aren’t equals, that is (See Thesis), where k is the number of treatment per block, and 𝜎̂zβ is the compounds estimative of the variance of the block within replications. The 𝜎̂i estimative of covariance in the individual analysis and the (See Thesis), estimatives of the covariance among the variables in the analysis of the first and second analysis aren’t equals, that is (See Thesis). The estimate of the genotypical correlation coefficient (rg) of the individual and joint analysis are equals for the first and second analysis. The 𝜎̂zi compounds estimatives, obtained from the third analysis, are little bigger or smaller than the 𝜎̂zi estimatives of the first and second analysis, depending on the square lattice efficiency. In general form, it was concluded that when an experiment is designed like square lattice and the objective is to estimate genetics parameters, this experiment must be analysed in square lattice, independent of the efficiency to be high or low with relation to the first and second analysis.
