MODELOS LINEARES

Estimability in linear model in hierarchical classification with s stages
Abstract in English
The linear model with hierarchical classification in s stages with possible different sub-unit numbers of observations is considered in this work.Through estimability of linear function of parameters concept, a theorem is stablished resulting in a simple and practical rule under which estimability of the parameters of the model can be identified. Based on this theorem, the estimability of the differences among classes averages and all differences between two jth sub-classes within a the (j-1) th sub-class can be obtained. Computer programs for the methodology are presented and the theoretical development is exemplified by an application to wood fiber measurements.
