DELINEAMENTO EXPERIMENTAL
Title in English
Multivariate analysis to sugar-cane data
Abstract in English
Sugar-cane experimental data of fiber, brix, pol and yield from a randomized block design in 4 locals are analyzed from univariate and multivariate viewpoint. For such analyses a relatively simple form is developed, the theory under two models is discussed in order to show the differences and analogies between the two techniques. Multiple comparisons are made to complete the conclusions and multiple discriminant sequential analysis is applied. It was verified that the multivariate model showed a smaller number of significant differences between treatment means when compared with the univariate model since the criterion of rejection of Ho in the multivariate case is based on an exact overall significance level smaller than that used in univariate case.
