in vitro and in vivo selection of fungicides and biological agents for the control of Didymella bryoniae (Auersw.) Rehm in melon (Cucumis melo L.)
Resumen en inglés
The goal of this paper was the in vitro selection of fungicides that showed high efficiency to inhibit the pathogen mycelial growing, further the evaluation of their preventive, erradicant and curative mode of action on the pathogen inoculated in melon in greenhouse conditions. It also has the goal of laboratory selection of antagonic bacteria to D. bryoniae and their effect, when sprayed on the microorganism, after its inoculation in melon. There was good correlation between in vitro and in vivo fungicides selected. The experiments with benomyl and iprodione in the greenhouse showed the best preventive action. The vinclozolin and iprodione showed the best curative action on leaves and all products tested had good erradicant efficiency. When sprayed by soil path iprodione and benomyl presented immunizing effect in melon plants, giving protection until the 16th day after spray. The use of detached leaves m fungicides screening gave good correlation with in vivo evaluation. There was good correlation between in vitro and in vivo antagonics bacteria selected, reducing the incidence of the pathogen in artificially inoculated seeds. The statistics of the control leveI in melon plants was between the untreated and the chemical control.
