Dezoito progênies de cafeeiros da espécie (Coffea canephora, selecionadas no Instituto Agronômico de Campinas, SP, foram avaliadas na Estação Experimental da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária em Ouro Preto do deste, Rondônia, no período de 1981 a 1990. As características estudadas foram: produção de café beneficiado; altura da planta; diâmetro da copa; frutos com lojas vazias; tipos, tamanho e peso das sementes; rendimento; qualidade da bebida; sólidos solúveis e cafeína. Utilizou-se delineamento experimental em blocos ao acaso, com dezoito tratamentos seis repetições, dez covas por parcela e duas plantas por cova. O espaçamento utilizado foi 4,5 m entre as linhas e 3,0 m entre as covas. Com base nas características avaliadas destacaram-se as progênies 2259, 1647 e 2258-1 do cultivar Robusta; 69-5 de Kouillow e 1675 de Guarini, podendo ser indicadas para o plantio comercial.

Eighteen coffee progenies from the specie Coffea canephora, selected at Instituto Agronômico de Campinas, SP, were evaluated at the Experimental Station of the Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária in Ouro Preto D'Oeste, Rondônia, during the period 1981-1990. The characteristics analysed were: clean coffee yield; plant height; canopy diameter; seedless fruits; type, size and weight of the seed; efficiency; beverage quality; soluble solids and coffeine. A random block design was used having 18 treatments, six replications, ten sites per plot and two plants per site. Spacement was 4,5 m between lines and 3,0 m between sites. Based on the results obtained the best progenies for commercial plantations were: 2259,1647 and 2258-1 from Robusta cultivar; 69-5 from Kouillow cultivar and 1675 from Guarini cultivar.
