Keywords in Portuguese
CROTALÁRIA
REPRODUÇÃO VEGETAL
VARIAÇÃO GENÉTICA EM PLANTAS

Incompatibility system and self compatibility in (Crotalaria juncea L.)
Abstract in English
The possibility of selfing C. juncea cv. comum was studied at different flower's age. ln this condition selfing was not feasible due to the fact that in this species stigma is receptive as soon as S factor becomes operating. Results of reciprocal crosses between pairs of incompatible plants showed that the incompatibility system found in C. juncea is probably gametophytic. In crosses between incompatible plants and self-compatible lines and the backcrosses to the parental generations, it was figured out that the factor for self-compatibility was not allelic to the S series, thus indicating that it is not involved the type I of self-compatibility. ln the F2 geration showed up the ratio 3:1 the caracter self-compatibility: incompatibility. It was possible to identify, in one F2 segregating population for compatibility, infertile crossings with incompatible plants, showing an increase in the frequency of a same S factor.
