Evaluation of nutritious binders in rations for aquatic organisms
Resumo em inglês
In the present work it was evaluated seven nutritious binders (gelatine, manioc meal, wheat meal, guar meal, gun, dry yeast and albumin) which were added, at the rate guar of 2%, to a basic ration with 27,5% of crude protein. The rations were pelleted in proper equipment without steam. It was used the same basic ration without binder (control treatment) as an evaluating parameter. It was studied the physical resistance of the pellets in and out of water, flotation capacity and submersion speed and the nutritious fractions dispersed in water dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber, fat extract, mineral substance and non-nitrogenous extract. The evaluation related to the physical resistance of dry pellets brought out that the control treatment was superior only to the treatment done with guar gun binder. In relation to the physical stability in water, the binders wheat meal and dry yeast showed the best results while the control was the worst. The treatment done with albumin brought out the largest tendency as for as the flotation capacity and the dry yeast in relation to the submersion speed, although the statistical analysis had not detected significant differences among the treatments. The incorporation of wheat meal to the basic ration provided the largest retentions of the fractions dry matter, crude protein and crude fiber while dry yeast retained the largest quantity of fat extract, mineral substance and non-nitrogenous extract. The acquired results of the proposed evaluations suggest new researches in different levels from those used, as well the study of their economical viability and proper technology for the utilization of pelleting equipments without steam.
