Title in English
Behavior of silictaed phosphates in cerrado soil
Abstract in English
The purpose of this work was to study the influence of silicated phosphates on some chemical properties of soil and on plant growth. The soil sample was collected from the Sandy Dark Red Latosol located at Experiment was carried out in greenhouse, using pots of 5 liter capacity and lettuce as test plant. The treatments consisted of three phosphorus sources, namely two magnesium thermophosphates - YOORIN (YO), YOOSIRIN (YS) and triple superphosphate for comparison. The amount of 150 ppm phosphorus was applied to the soil samples which were incubated at seven different periods, spaced 15 days from one to another period. It is concluded that treatment with the phosphate containing the largest amount of silicon YS, showed, the highest value of pH and available phosphorus in the soil. The dry matter production obtained by the use of the three phosphorus sources were statistically different. Yoosirin produced more than Yoorin and the latter more triple superphosphate.
