Title in English
Dry matter, macronutrients concentration and content in eucalyptus clone seedlings, according to the age
Abstract in English
Seedling of four Eucalyptus clone (Three E. grandis and one hybrid E. grandis x E. urophylla), were cultivated on nursery. The material was collected in the ages of O (stake), 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 days, leaves, stem and roots were weighted and chemically analyzed in order to obtain the yield, dry matter and total concentration of N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S. The dry matter yield increased according the age of the seedlings. The distribution of the amounts along the plant obeyed the following pattern: stem > leaves > roots. The macronutrients concentration in the tissues of the severaI components on the seedlings trended to decreased with the age. The highest concentrations of the nutrients were observed in the leaves, except for Mg which showed high contents in the roots. Nitrogen was the nutrient with the highest concentrations in all parts of the plant. The relative order of nutrient concentrations in the leaves was: N > K > Ca> Mg > P > 5, for the E. grandis clone and: N > K> Ca = Mg > P > 5, for E. grandis x E. urophylla hibrid clone. For the stem the order was: K > N > Ca > Mg > P > S, for all the clone. In the roots the order was: Mg > K > N > Ca > P = S, for two clones of E. grandis, Mg > N > K > Ca > S > P and Mg > K > N > Ca > S > P for one of the E. grandis clone and E. grandis x E. urophylla, respectively. Considering the higher accumulation, at the 90 days, the N was the most extracted nutrient, followed by the K, Mg, Ca, P and S. The sequence for E. grandis clones was the following: N, K, Ca, Mg, P and S
