Keywords in Portuguese
ARROZ
DEFICIÊNCIAS MINERAIS DE PLANTAS
FÓSFORO
Title in English
The effect of mineral deficiencies on the uptake of phosphorus by rice (Oryza sativa L.)
Abstract in English
The kinetics of uptake of 32P labelled phosphate was studied by using intact rice plants under two pretreatments, namely, incipient and visible deficiency symptoms of N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S. Two cultivars were used, IAC 164, upland and IAC 899, lowland. Significant differences in phosphate uptake by the two varieties were observed. Incipient deficiency caused lower variations in km and Vm than the accentuated one. The response to the pretreatments was influenced by the concentrations of phosphate supplied during the absorption period
