Abstract in English
This research was develop at the “Nova Aliança” Farm, located at Sales Oliveira Country, São Paulo State, Brazil. The objective was to evaluate in a first step the effect of N fertilization applied pre-harvesting in the sugarcane seedlings nursery in a “Latossolo Roxo” planted in March 08, 1984. It was employed a randomized block design in a factorial arrangement of treatments (2 + 2 checks) with 4 replications being 2 nitrogen levels (0 and 100kg N/ha) used as ammonium sulfate (21% N), and 4 applications times (days after planting: 214, 256, 294 and 337, all of then with a suplementar K rate of 100 kg K2O/ha and 2 checks without potassium (potassium chloride – 60% K2O) with 0 and 100 kg N/ha, were made periodically samplings to evaluate: the fresh biomass matter (stalk with and without up tops), the macronutrients content in the leaf number +3 (KUIJPER System), chemical soil analysis and technological analysis (Pol, Brix, Reducing and Total Sugars and Fiber content). At 403 days after planting (dap) were done evalations in the dry matter weight of tops, stalks, and leaves and also the macronutrient extraction (N, P, K, Ca, Mg e S). The final stalk production was made at 412 days after planting and used as a propagative material for the second stage. The second step was carried out in five experiments in a “Latossolo var. Una" at April 26, 1985, in the same place, with the aim of verifying the interaction between the N level with the planting system and: bud densities and, planting sy system and seedling storage time. In the first trial it way employed a randomized block design in a factorial arrangement of treatments (2 x 9) with four replications being 2 planting systems (stalk without tops cut in pieces mite 3 to 4 buds eyes; and, no cut stalk with the apical part); 9 N levels/bud densities (being 7 planted with a 13 to 14 buds per linear meter and 2 with 7-8 buds per linear meter). In this experimente was evaluated only the tillering production (number per meter) and the stalk production (kg/linear meter). The others one’s (4) consisted of all the N levels used in the first step with 1: whole sugar cane stalk planted stored for two days end, 2: for five days; 3: cut stalk with 3-4 buds stored for two days and, 4: for five days. In all of them (4 experiment) were evaluated only the final stalk production. According to the obtained data were obtained the following conclusions: 1. The nitrogen fertilization didn’t exhibit influence in biomass production, technological analysis, mineral contente in the leaf 3 and shoots, seedcane quality and stalk productivity of succeeding culture; reducing the nitrogen efficience; 2. The planting systems wich presented the best results were whole stalk including the apical part, stored for five days, regardles of the bud densities employed.
