Os dados de erodibilidade, obtidos pelo método indireto (Kn) que utiliza o monógrafo de WISCHMEIER et alii (1971), foram comparados com os obtidos pelos métodos diretos que utilizam chuva natural (Kcn) e simulada (Kcs) (FUNDAÇÃO INSTITUTO AGRONÕMICO DO PARANÃ, 1978), em Latossolos do Estado do Paranã. As unidades pedológicas que constituíram o objeto deste trabalho foram: Latossolo Roxo Distrófico, Latossolo Vermelho-Escuro Distrófico textura media e Latossolo Vermelho-Escuro Distrófico textura argilosa. A análise dos dados mostrou que os valores da erodibilidade, obtidos pelo método indireto, variaram pouco entre as unidades estudadas e pouco, também, dentro de cada unidade, exceto para o Latossolo Vermelho-Escuro Distrófico textura argilosa. Os valores médios para todas as unidades foram sempre significativamente menores do que os obtidos pelos métodos diretos que utilizam chuva natural e simulada; sendo que, os resultados obtidos por esses dois últimos métodos, não apresentaram diferenças significativas ente si. Os resultados observados indicaram que não se pode utilizar o método de WISCHMEIER et alii (1971), como foi originalmente proposto, para os solos estudados.

Data on soil erodibility obtained by the indirect method that uses WISCHMEIERS et alii (1971) nomograph (Kn), were compared with the data obtained by direct methods that use simulated (Kcs) and natural rainfall (Kcn) (FUNDAÇÃO INSTITUTO AGRONÓMICO DO PARANÁ, 1978). The sarne soils were used for both methods, namely one Distrophic Roxo Latosol and two Distrophic Dark Red Latosol, occurring in the State of Paraná, Brazil. A statistical analysis of the results showed little variation in soil erodibility between the pedological units studied, as estimated by the indirect method. Variation within the units was also small except for the clayey Dark Red Latosol (CV= 26,4%). The average Kn value for every soil unit was significantly smaller than the values obtained by the direct methods using simulated and natural rainfall (Kcs and Kcn). Variation between Kcs and Kcn was found to be insignificant.
