Title in English
Correlation between nutrients concentrations in citrus leaves and soil analysis
Abstract in English
On a citrus area (628.6 ha.) at the east side of the State of São Paulo, Brazil, 78 composte leave samples were taken from trees (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck e Citrus sinensis x Citrus reticulata grafted on (Citrus lomonia Osbeck). The same number of soil samples were analysed for the divers elements by laboratories convencional methods. The soils presents a medium fertility and were classified as a Latossol Vermelho Amarelo-orto and Latossol Vermelho Amarelo-fase arenosa. The soils are classified by U. S. soil taxonomy as Ustox or Orthox. The folowings correlations were observed between leave analysis and soil determinations: 1. Sand (0.2 - 2.0 mm.) - negative correlation: Ca, Mg, Cu no correlation: N, P, K, S, Fe, Mn, Zn, B, Na ; 2. Sand (0.02-0.2 mm.)- positive correlation: N, P, Cu negative correlation: Ca, Mg, Zn no correlation: K, S, Fe, Mn, B, Na; 3. Silt - positive correlation: Cu, B, Zn, negative correlation: Mg no correlation: N, P, K, Cu, S, Fe, Mn, Na; 4. Clay - positive correlation: Cu, Mg, B, Zn negative correlation: N, P, Cu no correlation: K, S, Fe, Mn, Na; 5. Leave concentrations in P, Mg, Mn, Na presents positive correlation with P, Mg, Mn, and Na contents in the soils; 6. Leave concentrations in K, Ca and Fe presents no correlations with K, Ca, Fe contents i n the soils; 7. Leave concentration in Cu, Zn presents negative correlations with Cu and Zn contents in the soils.
