Abstract in English
A trial was installed in the IAC Research Station (Instituto Agronômico de Campinas) to determine the rate of absorption of several nutrients by the sunflowers plant through analytical data of growth, accumulation and exportation of nutrients in two cultivars (Peredovick and Cordobez), fertilized and non fertilized. The trial was conducted during the agricultural year 74/75, under field condition, in sandy-clay soil, Latossol dark-red weakly acid, with medium fertility level except for phosphorus, which showed low levels and rich in organic matter. The experimental design was randomized blocks with 4 replications and the plots consisted of 11 lines of 4 meters each giving a population of 67,000 plants per hectare. The fertilized plots received 45 kg of P2O5 and 30 kg of K2O per hectare in furrow at planting time and 30 kg of N per hectare 30 days after planting. The samples were harvested at 6 development times; the first one 15 days after emergency and at 15 days intervals thereafter. Plants were harvested in such way that each sample-plant had other 4 competitive plants surrounding it. After sampling plants were separated into leaves, stems, head and seeds to be analysed for nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulphur, iron, copper, manganese, zinc and boron. Results obtained have showed that: - There was more dry matter accumulation when sunflower plants were fertilized. Productivity were as follows (in kg/ha): Peredovick: fertilized = 12804, non-fertilized = 10802; Cordobez: fertilized = 13140, non-fertilized = 11531. - Sunflower plants accumulated the maximum dry matter after 90 days (161). - Cultivars reached maximum nutrients accumulation at (days): phosphorus (131); potassium (181); calcium (87); magnesium (95); iron (116); copper (116); manganese (85); zinc (119) and boron (85). - Calcium, magnesium, sulphur, manganese and boron accumulation in seeds was affected by fertilization. - Nutrients exportation occurred in the following priority order: N > K > P > Ca = Mg > S > Fe > Zn > Mn >Cu = Bo. - Fertilized cultivars yielded more seeds than when non-fertilized.
