0 primeiro ensaio foi conduzido com macieiras 'Ohio Beauty' e 'Brasil' com 1-2, 3-4, 4-5 e 6-7 anos, enxertadas sobre macieira 'Doucin', no município de Buri (SP, Brasil), situadas sobre Latossolo Vermelho Escuro orto, em espaçamento 5,5 x 3,0 m. Objetivou-se: (1) analisar a produção de matéria seca e extração de nutrientes pelos frutos em diferentes estádios de desenvolvimento; (2) analisar a produção de matéria seca e extração de nutrientes por folhas e "tronco + galhos" coletados no florescimento e por folhas e galhos podados no início da dormência. Foram determinados teores de N, P, Ka, Ca, Mg, S, B, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo e Zn. O segundo ensaio foi conduzido com macieiras 'Ohio Beauty' com 1 ano cultivadas em vaso para verificar-se sintomas e níveis de deficiências de N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S e B na parte aérea da planta. Concluiu-se que: Macieiras 'Ohio Beauty' e 'Brasil' diferem nos acúmulos de matéria seca pelos frutos coletados em diferentes estádios de desenvolvimento, nos acúmulos pelas folhas e "tronco + galhos" coletados no florescimento, e nos acúmulos pelas folhas e galhos, podados no início da dormência. Macieiras 'Ohio Beauty' e 'Brasil' diferem nas concentrações de nutrientes em frutos coletados em diferentes estádios de desenvolvimento, e nas concentrações em folhas e "tronco + galhos" coletados no florescimento. Macieiras 'Ohio Beauty' e 'Brasil' diferem na extração de nutrientes pelos frutos coletados em diferentes estádios de desenvolvimento, na extração por folhas e "tronco + galhos" coletados no florescimento e na extração por folhas e galhos coletados no início da dormência. A extração de nutrientes pelos frutos obedece a seguinte ordem: K > N > P > S ≥ Ca > Mg > Fe > B > Cu > Mn ≥ Zn > Mo. A extração de nutrientes pela macieira (parte aérea) obedece a seguinte ordem: N > K > Ca > Mg > P > S > Fe > B > Cu = Mn = Zn. Os níveis de nutrientes em folhas sadias e com sintomas de deficiência são: N - 2,22 e 1,53%; P - 0,17 e 0,05%; K - 1,32 e 0,22%; Ca - 0,94 e 0,52%; Mg - 0,37 e 0,06%; S - 0,18 e 0,08%; B - 62 e 24 ppm. Os níveis de deficiência em folhas, na "fome oculta" são: N - 1;74%; P - 0,07%; K - 0,30%; Ca - 0,65%; Mg - 0,09%; S - 0,09%, B - 33 ppm.

In order to obtain the following informations: 1. dry matter production and extraction of nutrients by the fruits at different ages; 2. dry matter production and extraction of nutrients by the leaves and "trunk + branches" collected at the flowering stage; 3. dry matter production and export of nutrients by pruning (leaves and branches) at the begining dormant stage; 4. symptons of deficiency for N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S and B, as well the critical levels for those nutrients. The first trial was conducted on Latossolo Vermelho Escuro orto group (Orthox) at Buri, São Paulo State, Brazil. The material was collected from 'Ohio Beauty' and 'Brazil' apples grafted on 'Doucin' 1-2; 3-4; 4-5 and 6-7 years old. The main conclusions were: 1. Differences were observed on dry matter production of fruits by the two varieties at the different stages of grown; 2. Differences were also observed among the two varieties on the dry matter production in the leaves and "trunk + branches" at the flowering stage; as well by the leaves and branches pruned at the begining dormant stage; 3. Differences were observed among the two varieties concerned to concentration nutrient (on dry matter basis) on the fruits collected at different stages of grown. Same results were observed on leaves and "trunk + branches" collected at flowering period; 4. Differences were observed on the exportation of the nutrients among the two varieties concerned to fruit growth period; 5. At the flowering and dormant period differences were observed on the content of nutrients in the leaves, "trunk + branches" on the two varieties; 6. The nutrient exportation by the fruits obeyed the following order: K > N > P > S ≥ Ca > Mq > Fe > B > Cu> Mn > Zn > Mo; 7. The nutrient extration by the aerial part of the apple trees obeyed the following order: N > K > Ca > Mg > P > S > Fe > B > Cu = Mn = Zn. The second trial was carried out with ''Ohio Beauty' apples 1 year old, grown on sand culture, receiving nutrient solutions ladking the following nutrients at the time: N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S and B. The main conclusions are: 1. The adequate and inadequate levels from leaves analisys were, respectively: N 2.22 and 1.53%; P 0.17 and 0.05%; K - 1.32 and 0.22%; Ca 0.94 and 0.52%; Mg 0.37 and 0.06%; S 0.18 and 0.08%; B - 62 and 24 ppm; 2. The nutrient levels on leaves at the "hidden hungry" stage were: N - 1.74%; P - 0.07%; K 0.30%; Ca 0.65%; Mg 0.09%; S 0.09% and B - 33 ppm; 3. Characteristic symptoms of deficiency were identified with exception to phosphorus and sulfur.
