Neste trabalho foi determinada a ocorrência de Patulina em 68 amostras de produtos de maçã. As amostras foram fornecidas pelo Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Frutíferas de Clima Temperado, da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária de Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul e foram coletadas nos meses de abril a dezembro de 1988 na região de Vacaria, daquele estado. A determinação da Patulina foi efetuada por cromatografia em camada delgada. Dos resultados pode-se concluir que: 1) em 100% das amostras de produtos de maçã, encontradas no comércio da região de Vacaria - R.S., não foi detectada a Patulina; 2) todas as amostras de suco, elaboradas com maçãs deterioradas por ataques fúngicos, apresentavam-se contaminadas com Patulina; 3) há evidências de que a indústria está utilizando maçãs sadias para o processamento

Abstract in English
In the present work the occurrence of Patulin in 68 samples of apple products was determined. The samples were provided by the Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Frutíferas de Clima Temperado, at the Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária from Pelotas. Rio Grande do Sul, and they were collected from April to December 1988. The determination of Patulin was performed by thin layer chromatography. From the results following main conclusion could be drawn: 1) in 100% of the samples of apple products found in the commerce of the region of Vacaria R.S., in the period from April to December the Patulin has not been detected; 2) all the samples of juice obtained from apples deteriorated by fungi were contaminated with Patulin; 3) there is evidence that food industries are using sound apples for processing
