Fosfated mineral fertilization effects in quartzose sand soil Eucalyptus plantation, on the firewood production
Abstract in English
In this assay, was tested three types of fosfated fertilizers: super-fosfate (SS), FAPS (parcially water-soluble fosfate) and termofosfate (water unsoluble). All the fertilizers were applied in two dosis: a) one equivalent to 28 g of P2O5 and b) the other one equivalent to 56 g of P2O5; were applied too (in fixed dosis): 10 g of nitrogen (50 g of amonium sulfate), 6 g of K2O (10 g of potasium clorate), and 3 g of FTE-BR9, with Zn, Fe, Mn, B, Cu and Mo. The objective of this work was to study the effect of the mineral fertilization on the growth and the production of firewood in the Eucalyptus urophylla and E. grandis, stablished in sandy, poor and acid soil. Likewise, the possibility of substitute soluble fosfate by unsoluble fosfate, in the fertilization, was studied too. The main results show the greatest differences, to the fertilized plants, at age of two years, to desappear after the age of five years. These results are valid to the two species. The principal conclusions are: a) the fertilization applied in the moment of the plantation had a positive effect in the tree growth, up to the second year after stablished; b) there were no differences in the tree growth between the application on natural fosfates and chemical fosfate; c) nevertheless, the results of the fertilization, of this assay, didn't signify an increment on the biomass production, it's logic that fertilization is essential to replace the nutrients that are extracted by the trees and exported by the wood, and to avoid a loss in the soil fertility. Final considerations about the biomass production, in the different treatments, are included. Also, are discuted the results in the two species. It's suggested the establishment of field researches about the growth form and longitudinal size of the branches of the root and it's suggested the hypothesis of aument the quantity of bank lines between the experimental plots, without reduction of the utile plot size.
