Title in English
Hydraulic characteristics and of water distribution by microsprinklers
Abstract in English
In order to determine the hydraulic characteristics of water distribution by microsprinklers, a study was conducted at the Laboratório de Hidráulica of the Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz", USP, Brazil. The characteristics studied were the discharge-pressure equation, the manufacturing variation coefficient and the profile and the uniformity of the water distribution. The discharge-pressure equation and the manufacturing variation coefficient (C.V.) obtained are:- DANTAS MA-70: q=18.47 H0,5315 C.V. = 3,25%, - DANTAS MA-120: q = 23,42 H0,5346 C.V. = 4,85%, - DUTOFLEX: q = 20,72 H0,2656 C.V. = 14,76%, - ASBRASIL I: q = 28,86 H0,2431 C.V. = 10,57%, - ASBRASIL II: q = 30,53 H0,2648 C.V. = 5,32% where q is the discharge in ℓ/h and H is the pressure of operation. The profiles of the water distribution varied very much. Such variations are due to the manufacturing process. The values of the water distribution uniformity were very low and made unviable the use of these microsprinklers with overlapping.
