Title in English
Physiological behavior of "in vitro” micropropagated strawberry Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) plants acclimated in presence of endomycorrhizal fungi
Abstract in English
Plants of (Fragaria X ananassa Duch.) cultivars Sequóia, Campinas and AGF – 80 propagated from greenhouse in order to evaluate physiological behavior of plants of three different sizes in presence and absence of endomycorrhizal fungi (MVA ) of the Acaulospora sp and Glomus sp genera. Alter 45 days of acclimation the cultivars Campinas and AGF 80 showed the highest survivaI index (90%) and the cultivar Sequóia the lowest (85% ). The survival rate showed to be proportional to the size of the tested plants, and did not show any relation to the presence or absence of mycorrizal fungi. The mycorrhizal treatment, monitored by evaluating the growth of the plants with base on the plant height, number of leaves, shoot dry weight and diameter of the intersection region of the stem and root stimulated inoculated plants growth. The percentage of radicular colonization by MVA fungi was at average higher than 40 %. It was possible to conclude that the Sequóia cultivar was a direct relationship between the size and the survival index of the acclimated plants.
