Abstract in English
Corn (Zea mays L) and crotalaria (Crotalaria juncea L.), cultivated in sílica with HOAGLAND (1950) complete nutrient culture solution, were sprayed with a solution of gibberellin 100 mg.L-1, naphthaleneacetic acid100 mg.L-1, chlormequat 1.500 mg.L-1 and daminozide 3.000 mg.L-1, for the purpose to determine the effect of these growth regulators on the nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sulfur concentration, development and dried matter in leaves and stems on corn and crotalaria. The research was carried out in a greenhouse at the Chemical Department of Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz, at Piracicaba, São Paulo State. Sixty four days after the seeds were sown, plants were harvest and split into leaves and stems. The plant material were measured, dried and weighted and analyzed for nutrients, through the methods proposed by SARRUGE & HAAG (1974). Statistical analysis were made by utilizing a randomízed complete 10 block design with one replicate. Means were compared by Tukey's test at 5% of prabability. The results show that daminozide 3.000 mg.L-1 increased the nitrogen concentration in com leaves than contrai plants, chlormequat 1.500 mg.L-1 and naphthaleneacetic acid 100 mg.L-1. treated plants. Sprayed plants with naphthaleneacetic acid 100 mg.L-1 had a decreased in stems sulfur concentration than in contrai plants. Naphthaleneacetic acid 100 mg.L-1 decreased magnesium concentration in cratalaria leaves when compared with gibberellin 100 mg.L-1 and daminozide 3.000 mg.L-1 treated plants. The treatments didn't affect the macranutrients concentration in corn and cratalaria leaves and stems. Com plants sprayed with chlormequat 1.500 mg.L-1 were shorter than the contrai plants. Daminozide 3.000 mg.L-1 was efficient on reducing height in crotalaria plants. The results shows that treatments with grawth regulators had no effect on fresh and dried matter on com or cratalaria plants.
