Um modelo, compartimental e determinístico, foi desenvolvido para simular a dinâmica do sistema cana-de-açúcar-broca-Trichogramma-ambiente. O modelo é estruturado de modo a permitir que se estude cada parte do sistema, admitindo modificações tanto nos parâmetros como nas equações, que deverão ser realizadas com o avanço das pesquisas. Após a construção dos modelos conceituais, as descrições dos processos, ou seja, as interrelações entre os componentes do sistema, foram representadas em equações matemáticas e codificadas em linguagem de computador (PASCAL). Utilizando dados da literatura e informações de pesquisadores da área foram estimados os parâmetros e determinadas as condições iniciais para rodar o programa. A seguir foram iniciadas as simulações e a validação do modelo. O modelo tendo sido considerado válido foram feitas análises do seu comportamento, variando-se as mortalidades das diferentes fases e também a quantidade e época de liberação dos parasitóides. Os resultados das simulações sugeriram que se estude melhor os fatores de mortalidade de lagartas pequenas, estágio que mais influenciou a dinâmica da broca.

Mathematical model for simulating the biological control of Diatraea saccharalis (Fabr., 1974) by using Trichogramma galloi Zucchi, 1988
Abstract in English
A compartimental and determistic model was developed in order to simulate the dynamic of sugarcane-borer-Trichogramma complex in sugarcane production system. The mathematical model allows to study each part of the system and also to modify parameters and equations according to the evolution of research and new data. After the conceptual models were created, the processes, i.e., the interrelations among the system were represented by mathematical equations and coded to microcomputer Pascal language. The parameters used in the equations and the initial conditions for running the program were obtained from references in the literature and personal information of researchers. After the simulations and the model validations, its performance was analyzed by varying the mortality of the insects, in their differents phases, and also the amount of insects and time of parasitoids releasing. As the stage of small larvae was most relevant in the sugarcane-borer dynamic so it is important to study the factors affecting their mortalities.
