A lagarta minadora dos citros (Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton, 1856) é uma importante praga presente em toda região citrícola do Brasil desde seu primeiro relato no estado de São Paulo, em 1996. A praga é responsável por danos diretos pelo consumo de tecidos vegetais de folhas e frutos, e danos indiretos com o favorecimento pela infecção do cancro cítrico causado pela bactéria Xantomonas axonopodis pv. citri. O trabalho apresentou características da biologia da praga e os inimigos naturais envolvidos em seu controle biológico.

The citrus leafminer, Phyllocnistis citrella, an important pest presente in all Brazilian citrus area, was first reported in the State of São Paulo, in 1996. It damages the citrus plant directly, attacking leaf an fruit tissues, and indirectly favoring the infection of the citrus canker bacteria, Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri. This paper presents some characteristics of the insect biology and the native natural anemies involved in its biological control.
