Este trabalho refere-se ao problema de como as atividades de Marketing podem melhorar a transferência para a sociedade da tecnologia desenvolvida pelas Instituições de Investigação Tecnológica pertencentes ou operadas pelo Governo. As principais atividades de Marketing são descritas mostrando como elas podem ser realizadas por esse tipo de Instituição. Os resultados de uma pesquisa junto a altos administradores de 29 Instituições do Estado de São Paulo mostram quais são as atividades de Marketing realizadas por essas Instituições e seu nível de intensidade.

This work refers to the problem of how Marketing activities can improve the transfer to society of the technology developed by Technological Research Institutions owned or operated by the Government. The main Marketing activities are described showing how they can be performed by this types of Institution. The results of survey among high level administrators of 29 Institutions of the São Paulo State show what are the Marketing activities performed by these Institutions and their level of intensity.
