As intensas transformações tecnológicas ocorridas no setor bancário na década de 90 desencadearam mudanças estratégicas no campo da informação. Uma dessas mudanças foi a inserção do e-business como ferramenta de atendimento nas instituições financeiras. Face a este contexto, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi descrever através de um estudo de caso, o funcionamento da estrutura operacional que apóia as práticas de e-business implementadas pelo Banco do Brasil ao segmento pessoa jurídica. O presente estudo visou fornecer um referencial empírico-teórico na tentativa de focar o canal de atendimento virtual, identificando-se os recursos disponíveis para realização do atendimento e posteriormente analisando-se o suporte técnico, layouts de sessões e segurança.

Decade of 90 occurred a intense bank sector technologic transformation, moved by strategic changes in the information camp. One of the most important changes was the e-business attending instrument, used in the financial institution. This research object was to describe o through study of case, the supported function that operational practice of e-business, witch was implanted on the Banco do Brasil segmenting for the juridical person. The present research have a theoretical-empiric referential, trying to focus the following virtual attending canal and indentifying all available recourses of the attending practice and after that the evaluation of technical support, section layouts and security.
