Esta tese faz uma análise comparada de dois arquitetos, Rino Levi e Vilanova Artigas, buscando absorver seus conceitos e como estes refletiram na produção dos espaços residenciais, identificando alterações e permanências ocorridas. Constituída em dois volumes, o primeiro está organizado em duas partes: na primeira, definida em seis capítulos, discorremos sobre os postulados teóricos de ambos, enquanto que na segunda fazemos uma análise da metodologia projetual empregada pelos arquitetos, tendo as casas como referência. O volume II apresenta dezessete projetos residenciais de Rino Levi e vinte e seis de Vilanova Artigas, constando de plantas, perspectivas e imagens fotográficas, base da análise pretendida.

In this thesis we make a comparative analysis of two architects, Rino Levi and Vilanova Artigas, seeking to understand their concepts and how these concepts are reflected in the production of residential spaces, identifying alterations and permanence occurred. This thesis is divided in two volumes, the first one is organized in two parts: in the first part, defined in six chapters, we discourse on their theoretical propositions, while in the second part we make an analysis of the methodology used in the projects by the architects, having the houses as reference. The second volume presents seventeen projects by Rino Levi and twenty six by Vilanova Artigas, consisting of plants, perspectives and photographic images, the basis of the intended analysis.
