Abstract in English
The aim of this work is to emphasize the type of the cultural patrimony of housing built during the implantation of the industrial park in Brás, Mooca and Belém districts. The development and urbanization of this area are inserted in the changes occurred due to coffees profit, in the history of São Paulo city. The buildings in question, besides industrial warehouses and railway facilities characterized that area of the city as industrial districts, inhabited mainly by European immigrants. Besides the historical feature , the buildings stand out for the use of new materials and consequently disregarding the old traditional techniques of construction. By emphasizing the condition of Historical and Architectural Heritage in these buildings, we claim for its preservation, for its safeguards promoted by the organizations in charge of the preservation. This posture has been determined mainly by the results obtained from the local survey which may be alarming for those who are interested in historical and cultural patrimony.
