Considerando que o desempenho de veículos comerciais é um item importante na segurança veicular, assim como o fato de que o custo do combustível afeta diretamente os fins comerciais desses veículos, desenvolveu-se a presente pesquisa. Este trabalho apresenta um estudo sobre o desempenho na aceleração, e, também, uma análise do consumo de combustível de veículos rodoviários comerciais. Para tanto, determinam-se as forças de resistência envolvidas no movimento do veículo; as forças ideais, em que todos os eixos motores do veículo utilizam o mesmo coeficiente de adesão; as forças reais com o sistema de transmissão instalado; os parâmetros para a avaliação de desempenho na aceleração e a previsão de consumo de combustível do veículo. As modelagens matemáticas desenvolvidas são para veículos comerciais simples (cavalos, ônibus, caminhões) ou combinados (cavalos semi-reboques) com diversos tipos de sistemas de tração. As modelagens matemáticas e os procedimentos de cálculos para a determinação dos parâmetros de desempenho e do consumo de combustível foram implementados no sistema computacional que foi desenvolvido no decorrer deste trabalho. Essa pesquisa foi realizada em conjunto com a Mercedes-Benz do Brasil, onde foram realizados os testes experimentais, validando, assim, o modelo teórico desenvolvido. Abstract in English
This research was developed taking into consideration that the performance of commercial vehicles is an important item in the vehicle security, as well as the fuel consumption represents an inherent cost to the marketing of products. This work presents a study about acceleration performance and it also brings an analysis of commercial vehicles fuel consumption. So, the resistance forces involved in the vehicle movement, the ideal forces, in which all the motor axles of the vehicle use the same adhesion coe:fficient, the real forces with transmission system, the parameters to the development of acceleration performance and the vehicle fuel consumption prevision is determined. The several developed mathematical modeling are either to simple or to combination commercial vehicles, with several kinds of traction systems. The mathematical modeling and the calculation procedures to the determination of performance parameters and the fuel consumption were implemented in the computational system which was developed along the research. This study was developed together with Mercedes-Benz do Brasil, where the experimental tests were done, validating the theoretical model developed. The results which were obtained through the developed system contribute to improve the vehicle performance, the environment and the vehicle security.
