Propõe uma Metodologia para Projeto Conceitual cujos principais objetivos são a geração sistemática assistida de soluções para problemas de projeto com estímulo à criatividade do projetista, e a viabilidade de sua implementação no computador. Para tanto, revisam-se as áreas de Projeto Conceitual e de Metodologias de Projeto Conceitual, comprovando-se as vantagens da sistematização desta fase do projeto. Revisa-se também a área da Inteligência Artificial e sua subárea de Sistemas Baseados em Conhecimento, verificando-se ser esta a ferramenta necessária para a implementação da metodologia proposta num sistema computacional. Apresenta o Sistema Inteligente de Projeto Auxiliado por Computador desenvolvido, com um manual de uso. Termina por avaliar a metodologia e o sistema computacional propostos

Abstract in English
It proposes a Conceptual Design Methodology, which main goals are the automatic generation of problem solutions, stimulating the designer criativity, and its applicability in a computer aided design system. In this way, it is reviewed the areas of Conceptual Design and Conceptual Design Methodologies, aimming to corroborate the advantages of the systematization of this design phase. It is also reviewed the area of Artificial Intelligence and its subarea of Knowledge-Based Systems, verifying to be this tools the necessary to the implementation of the proposed Conceptual Design Methodology into a computational system. It presents the Intelligent Computer Aided Design System developed, with a user's manual. It ends with the avaliation of both the proposed methodology and the developed computational system
