A presente pesquisa envolve um estudo teórico-experimental da transferência de calor através do mecanismo de ebulição nucleada. Os ensaios foram realizados utilizando os hidrocarbonetos de baixa pressão: R11, R123 e R141b; e os de média pressão: R12, e pressões reduzidas entre 0,011 e 0,25. Os parâmetros que influenciam na ebulição nucleada foram comparados com outros trabalhos da literatura, mostrando-se consistentes. Foram propostos novos valores para a constante e expoentes empíricos da correlação de Rohsenow (1952), sendo comparados os resultados correlacionados com os experimentais. Esta correlação, apesar de simples, correlacionou os resultados experimentais satisfatoriamente.R22 e R134a; superfícies de cobre, latão e aço inox com rugosidade média aritmética (Ra) variando entre 0,02 a 3,3 micrometros, fluxo específico de calor na faixa de 0,5 a 120 kW/m2

The present research involves a theorical-experimental study of heat transfer in nucleate pool boiling. Tests included such conditions as halocarbons refrigerants: R11, R123, R141b (low pressure), R12, R22 and R134a (medium pressure); cilyndrical surfaces of cooper, brass and stainless steel with aritmetic surface roughness varying between 0,02 and 3,3 mm; heat flux varying between 0,5 and 120 kW/m2 and reduced pressure from 0,011 to 0,25. Main parameters that influence in nucleate boiling have been compared with those from the literature, showning a clear consistent. New values have been proposed for the coeficient and expoents of the Rohsenow's correlation. The correlation, though simple correlates experimental results satisfactorily
