Esta pesquisa visa dar sua contribuição ao relevante envolvimento da logística na gestão estratégica da organização produtiva, por meio da proposição de um modelo para a orientação do processo de educação e formação de uma entidade gestora logística. O referencial teórico utilizado visou: a identificação de uma proposta conjunta para a definição de estratégias, envolvendo duas abordagens complementares (estrutura da indústria e teoria dos recursos de base da empresa); a comprovação da importância do envolvimento da logística em ambas abordagens; e, o levantamento de quatro modelos, cujo foco principal é a identificação de uma estrutura que suporte a excelência logística e o seu conseqüente envolvimento estratégico. Utilizou-se uma representação alternativa (analogia com o ser humano) para o destaque das capacitações que suportariam o envolvimento estratégico da logística, de seus inter-relacionamentos e de alguns pontos, com o intuito de integração das visões dos quatro diferentes modelos. Identificadas as capacitações, destaca-se a figura da entidade gestora como recurso fundamental para a estrutura e a distinção de sua natureza. O modelo proposto utiliza como analogia, uma árvore (árvore do conhecimento), sob a qual distribuíram-se áreas do conhecimento, fundamentais à educação e à formação desse novo perfil profissional, bem como, foram destacados e discutidos alguns aspectos chaves desse processo

This paper anns at contributing to the relevant involvement of logistics in the strategic management of productive organizations by the proposition of a model for the driving of the educational process and the training of a managerial logistical entity. The theoretical construction of this paper is composed by: (1) a proposed definition of strategies which involves two complementary approaches, e. g., the industry structure and the resource-based theory, (2) the demonstration of the importance of the logística! involvement in the aforementioned approaches and (3) the survey of four models whose focus is the identification of a structure which supports the logistical excellence and its consequent strategic involvement. An alternative representation based on an analogy with the human being was used to emphasize the capabilities the strategic involvement of logistics and its inter- relationships with other areas of companies in order to integrate the visions of four different models. Once the capabilities are identified, the figure of the managerial identity is pointed out as a fundamental resource for the structure and the distinction of logistics nature. The proposed model uses an analogy with a three which is named knowledge tree. The basis of this tree is composed by knowledge areas which are fundamental for the training and educational of this new professional profile, and some key aspects o f this process were emphasized and discussed as well.
