Este trabalho expõe resultados obtidos durante as atividades de uma tentativa para mostrar que "nos estudos e projetos sobre transportes, no Cone Sul (parte do continente sul-americano abaixo da linha do equador), o aumento do valor agregado aos produtos transportados pode reduzir a expectativa de crescimento da demanda por transporte". Para isso apreciaram-se conseqüências de avaliação de projetos de transportes depois de implantação de obras e serviços, comentaram-se conceitos e relações sobre infraestrutura de transportes, renda de região, custos de transporte e preço de produtos, logística e armazenagem. Também introduziram-se conceitos e processos para estudo de variação de valores de elementos de séries temporais, o modelo A RIMA. Relatam-se dados sobre a caracterização do Cone Sul, e, a natureza da demanda, configuração de infra-estrutura e listagem de projetos sobre os equipamentos para transporte na região. Expõe-se que entrevistas a técnicos e dirigentes de órgãos de gerência da infraestrutura de transporte no Cone Sul indicam que a análise de regressão é o processo mais comum para estudo de pesos e valores de transporte - e, que entre Brasil e Argentina a qualidade das estimativas é ruim. Conceitos sobre séries temporais foram aplicados a informações sobre a área de influência do Corredor São Paulo - Buenos Aires para mostrar que a relação peso por valor transportado por ano no comércio entre o Brasil e a Argentina pode ser estudada pelo modelo ARIMA - é decrescente ao longo do tempo e mostra o aumento do valor agregado e a redução da expectativa de crescimento da demanda, representada pelo peso transportado através desse eixo.

This work shows lhe results obtained on trying to show that "plan and projects for transportation at CONE SUL (part of South America below the Equator), the increase in the transported product aggregated value can make the expectance on the growing of the demand for transports decrease". To do that, consequences of the evaluation of plans on transport after the implementation phase were accessed; concepts and relationships over the infrastructure of transport, in come of the region, cost of transportation and product prices, logistics and warehousing were discussed. Concepts and processes on study of the variation of values on the elements of time series were presented, the so called ARIMA model. Data on the demand, infrastructure configuration and lists of projects on equipment for transportation in region were also presented. Interviews with administrators of infrastructure of transports on the CONE SUL shows that the regression analysis is the most common method used on the study of weights and values of transports, and that the forecasting using data on commerce between Brazil and Argentina is bad. Concepts of time series were applied over information on the influence area of the São Paulo - Buenos Aires corridor to show that the relationship between weight and price average moved per year can be studied with use of the ARIMA model and decrease over the time, showing the increase of aggregated value and the expectance on the growing of the demand, represented by reduction of the transported weight on that corridor.
