A hidroponia, termo concebido à técnica de cultivo sem solo, apesar de ter seu emprego comercial iniciado a um tempo relativamente pequeno (aproximadamente 50 anos), atualmente se encontra difundida pelos mais variados países de todos os continentes. No Brasil, talvez por possuir uma das mais favoráveis condições climáticas e de solo para o cultivo tradicional (cultivo de campo), essa nova técnica de cultivo apenas recentemente começou a receber atençaõ, e no momento ainda se encontra em fase de experimentação. O presente trabalho visa a uma introdução geral acerca do processo hidropônico, abordando aspectos técnicos-climáticos que interferem no desenvolvimento das culturas, e comenta sobre a viabilidade econômica para se obter um investimento de baixo risco

The hydroponics, term conceived to the cultívatíon technique without soil, in spite of having its commercial use initiated in a time relatívely small (approximately 50 years), now one finds diffused by the more varied countries of ali the contínents. In Brazíl, perhaps for possessing one of the most favorable climate and soil conditíons for the traditional cultivatíon (field cultivation), that new cultívatíon technique just began recently to receive attention, and in the moment it still is in an experimentatíon phase. The present work seeks to a general introduction concemning the hydroponic process, aproaching climatic-technical aspects that interferes in the development of the cultures, and it comments about the economic viability to obtain one investment of low risk.
