Este trabalho analisa o ambiente térmico urbano de Maceió - AL, visando a adaptação de um modelo climático urbano de energia às condições climáticas típicas da cidade, objetivando contribuir para o entendimento de sistemas climáticos urbanos tropicais, para subsidiar o planejamento urbano na identificação dos efeitos da tipologia dos espaços na temperatura do ar e na simulação de situações futuras (previsões) e efeitos térmicos conseqüentes. Os resultados do trabalho experimentalpermitiram verificar, em três frações urbanas com morfologias distintas, pequenas variações térmicas que evidenciaram a influência da massa de construção na temperatura do ar resultante e permitiram a calibração do modelo matemático, de forma aser obtida boa concordância entre valores de temperatura observados e calculados. A partir do ajuste do modelo, foi possível ainda a simulação de possíveis situações futuras de morfologia desses espaços urbanos

In order to contribute to the understanding of tropical urban climatic Systems, this work analyses the urban thermal environment of Maceió - AL, to adapt a climate model of urban energy balance to the typical climatic conditions of the City, to identify the effects of space typology on the air temperature and in the simulation of future situations (predictions) and its flirther thermal effects. The results of the experimental work showed few thermal variations in three different parts of the city, and confírmed the influence of the construction mass on the final air temperature and it permitted the calibration of the mathematical model, obtaining good agreement between observed and calculated temperature values. After this calibration, simulations of possible future confígurations of those urban scenarios were made.
