Considerando as atividades que vêm sendo desenvolvidas desde 1986 pelo Centro de Divulgação Científica e Cultural (CDCC) e Centro de Recursos Hídricos e Ecologia Aplicada (CRHEA), através do programa "Sistema de Atualização de Professores de Ciências e Geografia com a Utilização da Bacia Hidrográfica como Unidade de Estudo" e dos programas decorrestes deste, este estudo analisou, por meio de questionários enviados aos participantes, a relevância de trabalhos desta natureza, na vida pessoal e acadêmica dos envolvidos. Os resultados mostraram um salto qualitativo tanto em relação aos cursos realizados ao longo dos programas, quanto em relação aos participantes, ficando cada vez mais claro o envolvimento deste público com a temática ambiental. Os impactos destes e os caminhos a serem seguidos foram analisados na tentativa de melhorar estes programas

Considering the activities that have been developed since 1986 by the Centro de Divulgação Científica e Cultural (CDCC) and Centro de Recursos Hídricos e Ecologia Aplicada (CRHEA), through "The Sciences and Geography's Teacher Actualization Program, Using the Watershed as the Study Unit", and other related programs, this study analyzed the relevance of this nature of work, in the participants personal and academic life, using questionnaires sent to them- The results showed a qualitative Jump in relation to the courses accomplished in the programs, as well as m relation to the participants, being clear, the involvement of the participants with the enviromnental thematic. The impacts ofthese, and the paths that must be followed, have been analyzed, in an attempt to improve such programs.
