Tendo em vista o acontecimento de grandes inovações em resposta aos desafios de uma economia em transformação, a intensidade das mudanças tem aumentado e provocado uma revolução de grandes proporções na gestão dos negócios. Diante deste contexto, analisam-se fatores como conhecimento, trabalho em equipe e ambiente distribuído de aprendizagem, suportados por tecnologias colaborativas como um recurso tecnológico permitindo a sua alavancagem como fatores de competitividade. Analisam-se, também, modelos instrucionais e de aprendizagem, no contexto da formação continuada, propondo a integração das tecnologias colaborativas inserida em um ambiente distribuído de aprendizagem, como um recurso para a formação continuada do profissional de engenharia de produção

Keep in mind the occurance of great innovations in answer to the challenges of a economy in transformation, the intensity of the changes as the revolution of great proportions in business administration. In the present of this context, the factors are analized as knowledge, team work, and distributed learning environment, supported by collaborative technology as a technological resourge permitting the leverage of competitive factors. Also analized are instructional and learning models, in the continuing leaming context, proposing the integration of collaborative technology introduced in the distributed learning environment as a resource for professional continuing education of production engineering.
