Abstract in English
About half of the world's work-related accidents are due to workrelated disease and occupational diseases, and many are due to multi-causality. In the context of Labor Law, when it is identified that the illnesses of workers arose or worsened due to both labor and extralabor causes, it is said to be facing joint causations in work-related diseases. In these situations, it is important to identify all the component causes of the diagnosed disease and the valuation of those linked to the work, so that in the event of any damage repairing action, assign to the employer only the exact extent of their liability. Through this research we sought to explore the characteristics of these joint causations, from their classification to their reflections on damage repairing action. For that, the inductive approach and the historical and comparative methods were used, as well as the bibliographic and documentary research techniques. The aim of this study is contribute to the explanation of the reasoning process that goes from identifying the joint causations of work-related disease to the recognition that the worker only has the right to be compensated for the damage that the labor actually caused
